The archive also forms the basis for films. Photographs made along the same routes are brought together in sequence, reconstructing journeys through the train window.

Created for a BFI programme marking 200 years of the modern railway, and screened alongside films from the British Transport Films archive.

A commissioned film following the journey from London to Paris.

Films made across the Benelux countries, eastern Turkey and the Haarlem–Leiden line, using photographs gathered over repeated journeys.

Canon — Paper Train

A commissioned film following photographs from the train window as they are printed and passed between passengers.

Feature Documentary — A feature-length documentary exploring Europe by rail, drawing on the wider Train Window Archive and new journeys across the continent.
